I don't represent the things I paint, I live them. I never know exactly what will emerge, trying to evoke shapes and landscapes that lead to deeper meanings than those of simple representation, while simultaneously pursuing the abstract beauty of colors.
Painting is, fundamentally, a mysterious and mental allusion, as the great painters have guessed. Those who paint from a project only manage to create a flat painting. I'm more interested in suggesting, in creating an active attention that can motivate internally.
